Sunflower Smoothie Delight

Sunflower Smoothie Delight-In memory of my sunny friend Sue.

  • 1½  c. Coconut Water
  • 1 tbsp. Flax oil
  • 1 tbsp Bee Pollen
  • 1 c. Sunflower Shoot Greens
  • ¼ c. raw unsalted sunflower seeds (can be soaked in water the night before)
  • 1c. Romaine Lettuce
  • 1 c. frozen mango

Add to a blender, mix, & serve.DSCN1627.JPG


Sue always brought her sunshine wherever she went.


No coincidence that this was Sue’s favorite flower. Sue always brought her sunshine,  was beautiful inside and out, and was strong to the core.

Just like Sue sunflower shoot greens are chock full of goodness. Provide lots of protein, iron and calcium. Vitamins A, B, C and E

Sunflower seeds are rich in vitamin E, magnesium and selenium. They are anti-inflammatory, promote cardiovascular health and another gift for the ladies is that they reduce hot flashes occurring in menopause. Sunflower shoot greens are chock full of goodness. They are filled with protein, iron, calcium,vitamins A, B, C and E.

You can also mash up with honey and apply to your face.

It’s high in vitamin A (beta-carotene), vitamin E and selenium  which provide protection against heart disease, cancer, and promotes healthy digestion. Mango’s high level of Vitamin E promotes hormone harmony and healthy skin.
